With all the golf we're offering around here, it's like a regular Country Club. Who wouldn't want to hang out at our Nineteenth Hole? Sign up now for our upcoming outings: The Annual Schomp-Kline Memorial Golf Outing on Monday, September 13th and the House Committee Mini-Golf Outing on Sunday, October 3, 2010. You can find the info and sign-up sheets in the Grill Room. If you have any questions on either outing, you can check with me and I'll try to help you out--unless it involves which club to use, at which point I may have to defer to one of our resident pros. In case you can't find me, (as if that's an option) George Van-Y and Linda or Gordy, Jr will be happy to answer any questions, as well.

With a few less meetings in the Summer and quite a few more vacations, our Grill Room hours can sometimes get sporadic. If you are ready, willing and even somewhat able to take on a bartending shift, I'd love to hear from you. Never bartended before? You'll be perfect! We'll teach you everything you need to know and more! Now is a great time to learn a new skill. Our scheduling is flexible, so just say the word and we'll fit you in when it's convenient for you.

One shift that happily remains unavailable is Thursday late afternoons and evenings. Thanks to Doug and Dusty you can always count on our Open sign being on! Stop in and see the "Double D's" and they'll keep you abreast of what's happening around your Lodge while providing you with great service and more than a few laughs. Make a night of it; grab a pizza, watch a game or favorite reality show and hang out in our A/C with some of your pals. Like something a little more active? Our Wii is your Wii. . . Enjoy!

Note to self (yourself): Attend Pasta Night-First and Third Wednesdays of each month, order one of our Summer Twisted Tea Drink Specials and when traveling, keep those postcards coming in. We like to keep track of you even when you're not here. May all your vacations be safe, happy and end in the Grill Room! (Bring photos!)
